Valentinism - Vandalism

Hi frnds, first of all a Happy Valentines Day to all of you. Due to the 'Acute interested damsels (shortage) syndrome' or AIDS that i am actually suffering from i have not actually lost my heart and i have found out someone who always yearned for me but i hardly ever knew that love, until to this day when i felt so lonely like anything with no-one ready to be my Valentine....and then i heard her call.... and i could'nt wait anymore or even keep her waiting...... i decided to dedicate this very important day to her.....
Frnds !!! before you can actually jump to any 'exciting and juicy' conclusions i hereby solemnly declare that the 'she' mentioned here is none other than the most beautiful woman in my life......it's this my blog.
Ha ha ha...
Well, if you are still interested in brushing up your reading skills by reading this blog then please know that my intention is not to bore you to oblivion, rather i would like to fast forward to the Cover story of this blog-post.
(Well, for starters i am writing this blog in two parts, first i would like to share my thoughts on all that and second i will be bringing the happenings of the day a i move through the city like the 'common-man' of R.K Laxman)

Valentines Day- well we all know what's this day is all about or do we??
Its a day for loving and being loved. Its a day to spread love and its a day to make the most special person in your life, feel how much you love her/him....Oh! the red cards, the red gifts, the red-roses...anything and everything we can think of comes in red- all that we know about Valentines day. (i don't declare that i know anything more). To me the day is same too. But in India it's being celebrated in ways opposite to this ones. Here we have Moral-Policemen ready with their weapons to teach us a thing or two on morality. They say we are going astray and it's high time to beat us up !! Did you ask WHY??? Then you probably dont know how much destruction you have caused to your culture by meeting up a girl on this day....!!! That's what they say...and if it's so then fine!! we readily accept it.....
But can those Officers of Morality kindly define what is culture....more specifically The Great Indian Book of Cultures.
Well let me some of the illustraions- beating up of the women......women as young as 16-17 to carry out soliciting not by choice but by force......making children work up in factories and homes till the last drop of their sweat.......and then -- annoying tourists coming to our country to the extent of raping and dumping them in the sea....killing people in the name of (a) religion, (b) caste, (c) Gotra, (d) place of birth................xxx
That is what we have as our culture....
Frnds we are living in an era where we only live to be killed at some point of time or other just because we have not being living according to the rules set by people who call themselves our brethren and the saviors of this land...in actuality they do clean the society but use human-blood as the detegent.
My question is, in the face of so many hostilities, when a festival of love is coming underway then what is all that crap thing on its opposition....?? Turning around lets just ask one question to ourselves- how many options are still left to us as means of recreation?? We cant step out of our homes without that wrinkle of brow....we cant work up late....we cant go to a movie....even our homes are not safe.....finally we the youth of the nation are left with two options either to accept this, sit in our homes and lead a life of lifeless stones or leave this country altogether(which given the huge youth population of this country is only a Juggernaut excercise).
Valentine's day is only but an option let to us to bloom flowers amidst a desert of lifelessness...other than this what else can we do.
And what is all this non-sense about our culture being tampered with 'foriegn' influences..?? We the people of new India have always accepted things from the west- the best ones being - Democracy, the Legal system etc.
So what is the problem on Valentine's Day?? By celebrating it we can atleast send some signals to the vandals that enough is enough......we can gradually change their thought-process and we can in this manner regain and rebuild the India of Lord Shri Krishna and the countless of his worshippers and make this land a land of love....once again (contd.)
